Monday afternoon my parents came down to visit us. It was fun to have them down and show them where we live. Tuesday we went down to the Civil Rights Museum. We were pretty much the only people there except a school group there on a field trip. It was a windy and rainy day but ended up being perfect for the museum.

After the museum we rode the trolley--yes this is our favorite thing to do.
For Dinner we picked up JJ from school and went to Central BBQ. This is our favorite place to eat BBQ in Memphis. We bring all our tourists here.
After dinner we went back to JJs school to show my parents where JJ spends his time. This is JJ's seat in class. He says it is the perfect seat because he can stretch his legs out and his seat is on the perfect incline.
Yesterday morning we went to the Botanical Gardens with our playgroup. We did the Caterpillar Club they have there. They had some really fun things there for the kids to do. We started by making a card with stamps.
We then made a Bee with a toilet paper rolls and some construction paper.
Here she is with her finished Bee
Then they decorated a pot and planted a flower. She loves her flower. She was so excited to bring it home and give it a big drink of water.
We had a really fun day at the Botanical Gardens and look forward to going back when everything is blooming.
After dinner we decided to celebrate the February birthday's by making a cake and having ice cream. Happy Birthday everyone with a February birthday. My sisters Courtney and Lauren both just celebrated theirs. We were thinking of you as we ate our cake and we even sang Happy Birthday as we cut it. This morning the weather was so nice we went to the park and went for a nice walk before they had to head back home. It was so fun to have them come and visit! Lucy sure loves spending time with her Grandparents and she was so sad to see them go this morning. Come back Soon!

Cute pictures! We've only ever eaten at Rendezvous BBQ in Memphis. We'll have to try Central the next time we're there!
that cake sure does look good! thanks for thinking of me
Heather we had a great time. It was great to see everyone again. Lucy is so darling! Tell her we say " Hi "
Oh, your first commenter answered my question for me. I was going to ask if Central BBQ is THE BBQ place in Memphis (obviously, I have not partaken!). But the Rendezvous was the one I was thinking about. But I think I've heard of Central, too. The Langstraat clan favors the Three Little Pigs and the Commissary in Germantown for their BBQ, if you're ever looking to try a new place!
Mmmm, P.S., I wish I could get at some banana pudding right now! :)
