Science Center and Turtle Park

Wednesday we headed to the science center as a family. They have changed so many things there since the last time I was there. It was fun that they had a smaller arch to build. We had fun building it and trying to get Garrett to not knock it over while we were building it.
They had fun little areas to discover, most of the actual learning was way above their level but they still had fun walking around and touching everything. We saw the dinosaurs and Garrett thought they were real and kept growling at them. He was pretty worried that they were so close!
The weather area was fun, we did the earthquack simulator and looked at the tornado. Lucy thought that was ineresting with all the tornado warnings we have had here.
After the science center we got some lunch and went to the turtle park for a little picnic. After eatcing we played around for a little bit. It was really hot and we didn't stay very long. You can tell the kids were hot with their red faces. They enjoyed climbing all over the turtles.
After the turtle park we headed back to my parents house. My little sister Courtney only worked 1/2 a day so we had planned to go shopping in the afternoon. It was nice to spend some time with Courtney and we had fun walking around the mall looking at some fun things. Later I made everyone one of my new favorite recipes--meatball sandwiches. After dinner we all went over to the track to do some running and walking. It had cooled down and it ended up being a nice evening to enjoy at the track together.
