Auto Expo

On our day off from work and school we braved the 12 inches of snow and went up to the Auto Expo in Salt Lake. It was really fun to be able to look at all the new cars and compare them. There were so many fun ones to sit inside and look at. Lucy was really good, we had her in the stroller for most of it and then at the end we let her get out and she just ran all over the place. She loved to get in the cars and "drive" them and see if the seats were comfortable. It really made us want to buy a car.

Check out Lucy's bow, she sure thought it was pretty in her hair. She only pulled it out a couple of times.

So Silly

Here we our with our next car that I will be driving. It is a known fact that when we buy our next new vehicle it will be a mini van most likely. They really are just so practical with all that storage space and DVD players in them. But for now the accord is just fine. Lucy doesn't know that there are kids who drive around with TV in their car.

Lucy tested out the back seats for us and thought they were great.

This is the car that JJ wants to drive when he is a Doctor. He just recently figured out what kind of car he wants. I never thought this would be it. I always knew he liked SUV's but I always thought we would get a nice Acura or something like that.

Lucy loves to "drive" the cars and play with all the little gadgets on the dashboard.

Here are some of the fun sports cars we saw.

Flashback Friday

So I saw this on a couple people's blogs and thought it was a fun idea. So I went back on the computer to look at some of our pictures from the past. Well trust me there are tons. But the only thing is we didn't have a digital camera while we were dating. So I guess these would technically be the oldest pictures we have on our computer. These are some of our engagement pictures. They were taken at the Mt. Timpanogas Temple and at the park across the street. They were taken in April of 2004. I guess I will add a little bit about how we met. We met while JJ was working in St. Louis for the summer. I was living back at home working at a Dentist office and going to school. We met through a friend and kinda through the singles ward back home. I wouldn't really give a ton of credit to the singles ward. But we did officially meet at one of their activities. But anyways, long story short, we ended up dating and then I moved out to UT. We continued dating out here and were engaged the end of October. Then we were married in June 2004. So here are some of our engagement pictures.

Wearing Mom's Shoes

One of Lucy's favorite things to do is to wear our shoes. I think she especially likes my new running shoes because they are so colorful. She thinks it is so fun to put them on and try to walk around the house in them.
Look at those long skinny legs, I wonder who she got those from?
What a cutie
---A funny thing this morning, while I was watching TV a commercial came on for the Jesus Christ Superstar. I think it is a play or something. Well Lucy got really excited and went up to the TV and pointed at it and said "Jesus!" I thought it was really funny.

Happy Birthday Craig

Yesterday was Craig's Birthday, we went up to Salt Lake to celebrate with them. We had a nice dinner and then played some Dance Dance Revolution Karaoke. It was fun, it was my first time playing and I think JJ's first time also.

Lucy got to bring home a balloon from the party. She was so excited about it on the way home she held it tight.

Little People

Lucy still had some Christmas money left over from a couple of people. We decided to get her the Busy Day Play House from Fisher Price. It is part of the Little People toys. She got the Little People school bus from my parents so we thought it would be fun to add to her collection. She also has a lot of learning toys, but not a whole lot of pretend toys. We thought this would be a great way to develop her imagination. She loves it! It has a couple of sounds and her favorite is the doorbell. She thinks it is so fun to ring the door bell and then let the people inside.

The little house came with a baby she loves the little baby and will put her in her crib.
Here she is putting the baby in her crib.
You can slide a picture thing across the front 2 windows and it can either be day or night. It plays some music when you switch it over.

Fun times with Lauren in Town

Last night Kelsey, Todd and Lauren came down to hang out. We had a nice dinner with them and then played Monopoly. Lucy was going nuts that she couldn't touch the board game.We never finished but things were going good for a couple of people. We have had a fun time with Lauren in town. She goes home today but she will come down and see us one more time.

Uncle Todd gave Lucy a ride on the Elliptical. She loved it!!
The girls.

Lucy had a blast with Aunt Lauren. She will sure miss her when she goes back home.

Saturday we went up to Todd and Kelseys house. Here is Lucy, Lauren and Jasmine (the dog).

Saturday night we all went out to eat. Lucy thought the lemons were oranges and she just ate one all gone. She kept making sour faces like she didn't like it, but kept eating it.

Lucy in the car ride up to Kelsey and Todds, she pulled out her ponytail on top .
Todds phone is broken and she was kinda upset there weren't any lights or anything fun.

Pictures of Lucy

Lauren and I went to the mall to return some things and do some shopping today. While we were walking past the Kiddie Kandid place a lady who worked there stopped us and asked us if we would want to come in and get some free pictures taken. She said they were kinda slow today and I also think she was kinda new and needed some practice. We would also receive a free 8x10 for doing it. We said sure. My first thought was I was wishing she had on a different outfit and then second do I have anything to fix her hair with? Well nothing I could do about the outfit and no hair anything. But they turned out really cute. They are small because I took them from the email they send you after your sitting in case you want to order more late. But you can get the idea. We ended up doing the really small one of just her face with the sepia look to it. It looks really nice. It is amazing that they could crop the picture so much and still keep the great quality and detail in the picture. We just think the picture does a great job of capturing her cute personality.

Sledding with Lauren

My little sister Lauren is out visiting us for a couple of days. She has like 6 weeks off from College so she came out to visit. It is sure fun to see her and spend time with her. We went up to Rock Canyon park and went tubing with her. It was alot of fun. Lucy loved to walk around in the snow. She also loved to go down the hill. She however didn't want to go down on the tube, she preferred to just sit down and scoot down on her little bottom, the whole way down. She had a blast. We took her down a couple of times on the tube and she thought it was ok. She was really concerned for those coming down on a tube. Especially anyone who was screaming.

Lucy and Olivia

Olivia came over to visit and pick up a Christmas present the other day. She took a little nap on our bed. Lucy wanted to be just like Olivia and lay down with her once she woke up. Here are some funny pictures with Lucy and Olivia. Lucy sure wanted to love on Olivia, she gave nice hugs and kisses to her.

Lucy was also nice enough to give little Olivia a ride on her train. I was able to snap this before Olivia slid herself off the train.
